Our StorySinag Publishing and Printing Services is a commercial printing press that is based in Calamba City, Laguna and servicing the greater CALABARZON area.
Sinag is a relative newbie in the commercial printing industry but we are the offshoot of one of the oldest printing plants in Laguna, Tambuli Press, the publisher of the provincial newspapers Tambuling Batangas and Ang Caviteno Newsweekly since the 1970s. We continue to share our printing plant with Tambuli but have made improvements and renovations to the offices and studio since we started Sinag. As a small family-run business, Sinag printing has distinguished itself as a company with a big heart. One of our main thrusts as a company is social responsibility work and during our first year of existence, we set up our flagship social responsibility program, the Sinag Journalism Training Seminars (Sinag JTS). The Sinag JTS are free seminars given to public and private educational institutions within Laguna. We have committed to giving this type of community service to our local youth because we believe that our expertise and knowledge of journalism gleaned from having been publishers of community newspapers since the 1970s should be shared to the local community. We fervently believe that journalism as a praxis and a vocation should be harnessed, developed and nurtured in our community’s youth and thru the Sinag JTS, we hope that in our own small way, we are contributing to this noble task of preserving the integrity and quality of our future journalists and the writers of tomorrow. October 12, 2011 was a milestone date for Sinag printing because we received an international award for our social responsibility work, the Natasa Prize 2011 from the World Association of Newspapers and Publishers (Wan-IFRA). According to WAN-IFRA: “The Nataza Prize category of the World Young Reader Prize goes to a newspaper printing plant that plays a role in teaching the young about the importance of the press to democratic freedom. It honors Natasa Vuckovic Lesendric who, aided by WAN-IFRA and UNESCO, set up an independent distribution system and printing plant under the regime of Slobodan Milosevic in Serbia”. The awarding ceremonies were held in Vienna, Austria and Sinag owners Raia Dela Pena-Landicho and Ruel T. Landicho received the award for the company. Today, Sinag continues to strive to build its name as a small company that dreams big. We stay true to our branding as professional printers that focus on excellent customer service that always goes the extra mile. MISSION To ensure our clients achieve their goals by providing affordable, creative and high quality printing services. VISION To become the foremost printer in the CALABARZON area capable of delivering high quality print jobs for both small and medium enterprises as well as the large industrial organizations in the region. |
